Dr. Spencer Tasker

Spencer J. Tasker, DMD

Spencer J. Tasker, DMD is the Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer for Route 66 Children's Dentistry & Orthodontics.  A board certified New Mexico licensed pediatric dentist, Dr. Tasker received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and attended Case Western University’s School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his pediatric specialty training in 2006 at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, also in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, he has practiced in the Oral Emergency Care Unit at the University of New Mexico and has served in nonprofit oral health and volunteering initiatives abroad in the Dominican Republic and the Island of Samoa.

In his free time, Dr. Tasker enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and daughters Sydney and Ella, as well as golfing, watching sporting events of all kinds, and has completed over 25 full marathons. 


Dr. Abshere

Philip M. Abshere, DDS

Philip M. Abshere, DDS grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. After serving several years as an Air Force pilot, he attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, then completed a one-year residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City. Dr. Phil performed extensive dental forensics in Bosnia, Croatia, the Oklahoma City Murrah Building bombing, Hurricane Katrina, and others. He is a Past President of the Oklahoma Dental Association and is serving now in the New Mexico Dental Association House of Delegates. For four years, he was the Air National Guard Surgeon General for Dentistry (ANG/SGD). His last military deployment was at Bagram Airbase, Afghanistan.

Dr. Phil has three amazing kids and he and his wife, Beverly (Wonder Woman), enjoy hiking, skiing, bicycling, and everything outdoors in New Mexico.

Dr. Kawamoto

Armando J. Chavez, DDS

Armando J. Chavez, DDS was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After attending The University of New Mexico for undergrad, Armando received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon returning to Albuquerque, Armando completed a one-year residency where he received a certificate for Advanced Education in General Dentistry.

Armando enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, and snowboarding.


Dr. Kawamoto

Kelly Wells, DDS

Kelly Wells, DDS is a native New Mexican who grew up in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area. After graduating summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of New Mexico, Dr. Wells attended dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she earned her DDS. Upon graduating from dental school, she returned home to Albuquerque to be close to family, friends, and the beautiful Sandia mountains. She is very excited to be a part of the Route 66 team where she continues to enjoy providing dental care for children of all ages. Dr. Wells is an active member of several national and local dental associations and serves as an Albuquerque District Representative in the New Mexico Dental Association House of Delegates.

When she is not working, Dr. Wells spends most of her time with her family and friends. She has a passion for cooking, gardening, and spending time outdoors in the foothills hiking, running, and enjoying the friendly and beautiful environment that New Mexico provides.


David Greene, DDS

David Greene, DDS, is originally from Mesa, Arizona.  Prior to Dental School, Dr. Greene received his Bachelor of Science degree in Micro-biology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Next, he pursued his DDS degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in Columbus, Ohio where he graduated Cum Laude. After graduation, Dr. Greene moved back to Arizona and began practicing general dentistry in Tuba City, Arizona and remote surrounding areas, providing comprehensive dental care for the Navajo Nation. Dr. Greene relocated to New Mexico in 2015 where has been providing quality dental care to children and adults. Dr. Greene takes great interest in giving back to the community and has been involved in numerous clinics and projects providing services for underserved communities, the homeless and sick in the United States and Mexico.  Because of his charitable work, he is quite fluent in Spanish!

Dr. Greene enjoys spending time with his two sons, Travis and Gideon, and fiancé, Erin. In his free time, he likes hiking, camping, soccer, snowboarding, mountain biking, watching college football (Go Buckeyes), and leading a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Greene hopes to continue to provide high quality comprehensive modern dental care in a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Brendon Prestwich, DDS

Brendon Prestwich, DDS is a native New Mexican, having been born and raised in Albuquerque he completed high school at Eldorado.  After graduating, he attended Brigham Young University, Idaho where he acquired a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then attained his graduate degree at Ohio State University where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr. Prestwich lived and practiced the beginning of his career in Charleston, South Carolina.  He then returned home to Albuquerque in 2013 where he has been continuing to  practice dentistry.  

Dr. Prestwich enjoys spending time with his wife Danelle and their five children. He likes tinkering with projects around his house!
